Dr. Charlotte Bigg is originally from Great Falls, Virginia. She graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD in 2004 and was commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer at that time. She served aboard the USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7) and the USS ANZIO (CG 68); both stationed in Norfolk, VA.
She completed her shore tour at the Surface Warfare Officer School in Newport, RI as an engineering instructor. She is currently a Commander in the Naval Reserves and serving in a Naval Reserve Unit in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Bigg graduated from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine with her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree in 2016. After graduation she worked at a lovely private practice in Tiverton, RI, but always dreamed of owning her own practice. She got her wish when, Dr. Pierce approached her about buying his amazing practice! Dr. Bigg met Dr. Pierce during the summer after her first year of dental school, when she shadowed him for a number of weeks. She fell in love with the practice and the staff at that time. Dr. Pierce and Dr. Bigg signed the papers at the end of February 2020!
When she and her husband moved to Rhode Island, they knew it was where they were meant to be and have lived here ever since. Dr. Bigg lives in North Kingstown with her husband, Will, their four year old daughter, Felicity, and their two dogs Enzo and Gilbert.
Dr. Calvin J. Pierce D.M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Calvin Pierce has practiced family dentistry in Wickford for 20 years. Immediately prior he held a professorship and practiced at the University of Pittsburg School of Dental Medicine. It was there that Dr. Pierce was a founder of the University of Pittsburg Dental Anxiety/Phobia clinic dedicated to help individuals with severe dental anxiety/phobia. Dr. Pierce completed a Dental General Practice Residency subsequent to graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and then served as a US Army Dentist for five years.
Our practice provides state of the art family dental care for individuals of all ages. Services include cosmetic dentistry, restorative fillings, crowns, bridges, partial dentures, dentures, tooth whitening, implant crowns, preventative hygiene, periodontal care and emergency treatment. Dr. Pierce is a member of the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The RI Dental Association, and The Pierre Fauchard Dental Academy and has served as a Board member for United Cerebral Palsy of RI. Dr. Pierce is now a provider for United Health Medicare plans.
Dr. Pierce enjoys spending time with his family biking, hiking, sailing and especially providing excellent dental care to his patients all of whom are special beings to him and his staff.
